Founded by Angie Coe and Melissa Dettloff, CopyCat aims to make printmaking a core part of Detroit’s artistic landscape by empowering artists of all levels to create, collaborate, and connect with their community. We will offer a welcoming, collaborative space where artists can explore diverse perspectives, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to social change. By preserving printmaking’s rich history of democratizing art, CopyCat will help artists amplify their voices and strengthen the cultural fabric of Detroit.

We believe printmaking is essential to keep contemporary art accessible and vibrant in Detroit and that artists in our community need access to an affordable, inclusive, professional printmaking studio.
